Perma-Fix Northwest
We are pleased to share that Perma‑Fix Northwest (PNFW) has fully unionized and is represented by UA Local 598. One of the key recommendations from our 2019 report on PFNW was that work be performed by a highly trained, unionized workforce. Having Local 598 now in place directly satisfies that recommendation. In addition, Perma‑Fix Environmental Services has invested significant time and millions of dollars to improve conditions at the facility. In a recent conversation with Mark Duff, the company’s CEO, it was clear that these investments have materially strengthened safety and operational controls.
