Join us on Fri, Oct 23 at noon PT for our next virtual Scholar Series webinar.
Juyeon JC Rhee and Brad Wolf will highlight the long-overlooked experiences of Korean atomic bomb victims—first-generation survivors forced into labor during Japanese colonial rule, as well as second- and third-generation descendants who continue to endure inherited health issues. Their presentation will discuss the ongoing gaps in international recognition and state accountability. Juyeon and Brad will introduce the upcoming November 2026 International People’s Tribunal in Seoul, outlining its mandate to establish the illegality of the 1945 atomic bombings under international law, demand formal apologies and redress, and unite global civil society in the campaign for a nuclear-free world.
