Jim Thomas will briefly recount what led up to his long involvement on Hanford issues before focusing on the history of Hanford’s deception about the radiation releases into the environment. Jim will talk about what Hanford officials knew about the dangers of iodine-131 during the Manhattan Project and how they conspired to keep the public in the dark about dangerous radiation levels in fish and waterfowl.
