Hanford Challenge gives a voice to concerned employees, insiders, retired employees, and whistleblowers and helps inform the voting public.
We provide advocacy on behalf of whistleblowers, connect workers with legal services, conduct investigations, and create public venues for disclosure and discussion of the issues raised by our clients. We will also work within the existing networks to build common ground.
We seek to bridge the gap between desired outcomes and current reality from a social network perspective.
While engaged in advocacy style campaigns that seek change through traditional methods, such as lobbying, legal advice, speaking in public hearings and meetings with agency officials, we also nurture and grow collaborative methods of interaction. We consider advocacy and protection provided representation of Hanford whistleblowers an important part of our function at Hanford Challenge.
1. Serve Hanford whistleblowers and workers.
2. Serve Hanford Site managers and contractors through our efforts to mediate employee concerns in a manner that addresses underlying technical and systemic issues while also protecting employees who raise such issues.
3. Serve the greater Hanford community by engaging stakeholders in broader visioning initiatives that seek to forge a common vision for Hanford communities.
4. Serve the Pacific Northwest and public communities by helping to deliver a more transparent, accountable cleanup that is timely, effective and legally-compliant.
